Below are examples of jobs and businesses I created since my mother's sudden death, while exercising on a treadmill, in 2007. As you can see I was quite lost. I wanted to get the word out and help people to NOT end up with the same fate as she and news anchor Tim Russert did. I was also sick and tired and not inspired going back and forth from gyms to working on the units. As soon as I got an idea or was inspired by someone or something I heard or read, I wanted to incorporate what I learned in a new business idea. I was all over the place, maybe like you, I had so much varied training and education. I wanted to help everybody and I didn't want to charge money (well when I did it wasn't enough), because deep down I was afraid, I was alone and I didn't feel good enough. I was all over the place in my marketing because I just wanted off the units and out of the gyms so bad. Some of the businesses made me good money, but then quickly pooped out; some of them were busts from the beginning. I'm sharing this with you, so you can see how it's o.k. to change your mind. ACTION and perseverance are most important. CLARITY is what was eluding me.
I finally have achieved clarity now with my own fitness nursing business called WeightlossPRN and I also train other nurses, interested in fitness, who share my vision of providing a
physical-emotional-spiritual-environmental-financial model, to become
Certified Fitness Nurse™ Coaches.
We do this by utilizing group and one-on-one coaching, internet video and fitness nursing assessment for pre-diabetics who want sustainable waist reduction and improved health.
My CFNC course that I am planning to release in May 2012 is more than a business to me...it's a mission to get out there as many qualified Certified Fitness Nurse™ Coaches who can help me turn around pre-diabetes in as many of the 79 million out there, through client empowerment and self-efficacy; NOT dependency.
I hope you find the business cards below inspiring and realize that you should never order/print more than 15-20 at a time. Give them only to people who you have had a conversation with. Don't just throw your business cards at anybody who's within 4 feet of you. Please enjoy looking at them at my expense. I've learned a great deal. I hope to shorten your learning curve by sharing my experiences with you. NEVER GIVE UP! KEEP PLUGGING AWAY!
Oh, by the way, just about all of the websites, e-mails and phone numbers on the cards below are no longer operational. Keep in mind too, I didn't use all these cards at the same time. This was over a 5 to 6 year period, that I kept changing my mind (my offer) and redefining my audience (niche) and my price points (my fee/package).
